Prior to Writing 010 I had no understanding as to how difficult research papers were formatted. My experience on being capable to write a well-developed research paper was beyond minimal. This assignment was by far one of the most challenging. As a second year college student I know what is expected of me. In order to have a successful college writing career I believe one needs to be capable of properly locating credible sources, provide citations and avoid plagiarism.
Who would have thought that someone could go from being injured while in an active combat, to being a professional paratriathlete? Well, Melissa Stockwell did just that. In her younger ages, she loved her country to the extent of wanting to be in the army when she grew up. While knowing that she wanted to do that, she also kept in mind that she needed to be more athletic. Therefore, she began gymnastics at a younger age and also undertook many school activities.

Starting an organization, managing company emails and organizing projects, and even having your name heard on the likes of Ellen are certainly things to achieve, especially when you 're a young person. In 2011, when Alanna Wall, from Dayton, Ohio, started Polished Girlz at just ten years old, she certainly had big aspirations in mind. Like all major things, it all started with an idea and a passion that grew into something impactful and rewarding. “When I was little, I loved art, drawing, and doing nails”, Alanna said. From there an idea flourished for what she would carry out with those interests.

Steven Seidman’s Contested Knowledge (fifth edition) is a concise 365-page sociological theory textbook encompassing classical and contemporary sociology. It begins on a personal and autobiographical note in the preface with Seidman describing his emergence from the late sixties as an optimistic and bright-eyed undergraduate. He then expresses concern over witnessing sociological theory being isolated from its public purpose, as he himself felt when struck by the disillusionment of his “sterile and pointless” theoretical work, removed from his “original moral and political motives for becoming a sociologist”. The AIDS crisis in the 1980s shifted Seidman’s focus away from sociology and onto a myriad of other areas: feminism, post-structuralism, race theory and so on. Returning to sociology in later years, Seidman appears to have come to terms with the discipline of sociology, adopting a relativist stance.
On April 6, 1981 a highly respected and prominent Christian singer and song writer was born, Kari Brooke Jobe. Kari Jobe has been nominated for a Grammy Award and she won 2 Dove awards for her amazing musicianship. Kari Jobe is someone I look up to because she is a remarkable worship leader, an activist who really cares about other people and their struggles, and overall a magnificent and humble person that loves God and has a servant’s heart. Growing up in a Christian home can have great rewards if you are faithful and Kari Jobe found that out very quickly. At age 3 Kari Jobe loved to sing that is when she found her calling, being a worship leader.
