You see it everywhere you go. You hear about it on the television. It's always a headline in a newspaper or magazine. What you hear, what you see, and what you read is racial profiling. Racial profiling is the use of race or ethnicity as grounds for suspecting someone of having committed an offense. Racial Profiling has become one of the main topics in today’s society and it has just become an even bigger one in the United Kingdom. In particular, Muslim women in the UK are subjected to racial profiling, causing them to assimilate or possibly be deported.
Prime Minister, David Cameron, publicly announced on January 18, 2016, he will be launching a $28.5 million program to help Muslim women in the UK learn English. The U.K already enforced …show more content…

(AFP, Tribune.com )“I am not saying there is some sort of causal connection between not speaking English and becoming an extremist, of course not.” he said.(Kamal,Globalissues.org ) “If you are not able to speak English, not able to integrate, you may find, therefore you have challenges understanding what your identity is, and therefore you could be susceptible to the extremist message,” the UK prime minister affirmed. Cameron was under fire after his statement stereotyping Muslims. Chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, Mohammed Shafiq, accused David Cameron of “disgraceful stereotyping”.(AFP,Tribune.com) Home affairs spokesman for the main opposition Labour party, Andy Burnham, accused Cameron of a “clumsy and simplistic approach” which was “unfairly stigmatising a whole community.” (AFP,Tribune.com ) Many others have criticised Cameron’s efforts. However, there are people who agree with the prime minister on some level. Manchester GP, Siema Iqbal, agrees with Cameron that people who are planning to come to live in the UK need to learn English in order to improve their opportunities and interaction with others. There are approximately 53 million people living in England and about 2.7 million of those people are Muslims. This just proves that the Muslim communities are going to keep growing year after year and not just in England. All over Europe the population of Muslims has reached an all time high.
