In the Zootopia project I worked alone. I made a storyboard that takes the original scene and pulls out what is racist in it and then drawing the scene again but changing it so it doesn’t offend anyone. If I could change something in my project it would be to add more detail. I think that it lacked a little bit of some detail in the poster. The way I de-SCWAAMP it was by analysing the scene and connecting it to what happens if the animals were human and seeing if it would offend a human. Through the Critical Race Theory, I addressed the racism by connecting what has happened in human history to what is happening in Zootopia. For example, I realized that the scene I chose was racist because in the times of segregation, there would be stores that would only expect certain races. I feel this way because throughout this movie, certain characters made racist remarks and soon realized that what they said was disrespectful and wrong. For example, in the scene when Judy was talking to the press about the missing mammals, she said a lot of things that could offend people based on their background and race. When Nick confronted her, he made her realize that what she said was rude and she had discriminated animals who were innocent. Another example was when the elephant would not provide service to Nick because he was a fox. The elephant was being extremely disrespectful towards race. When Judy came along she stuck up for Nick and made the elephant give him service. She showed him that you should respect any animal and that everyone
