World War I to World War II a total of 31 years that the wars took place, and the years in-between. Just think how much can happen in 31 years. Throughout the 31 years there were many innovations in technology, and also with wars there was of course weapons and vehicles used on each side. With WWI there was advancements prior to the war, and even more by the time WWII ended. To proceed, with the advancements there was advancements is technology. One of these advancements was radar. First type of weapons is tanks. First of the two, is the M4 Sherman which it was one of the main tanks for the United States. According to Dan Alex, “The M4 Sherman series of medium tank proved an invaluable asset to Allied operation North Africa, Europe, and the Pacific theaters of war in World War 2”. The Sherman was put to work in 1942, and a there was around 50,000 made which it took a five people to operate. The tank did have a notable issue when it was directly hit the engine would explode. The tank ended getting nicknamed “The Burning Grave,” and to make matters even worse was the fact that the tank was mass-produced causing a majority of the tanks to have that issue. There was an advantage with the mass production. As it was stated there was 50,000 made, and compared to the 10,000 main German tanks. It was one of the aspects that helped the Allies to win the war. Then there was the other major power for the Allies. To continue the Soviet Union had their own tank, and it was the T-34. The T-34 was initially created due to the failure of the other armored vehicles failing when they faced Finland (1939-1940) (T-34 Medium Tank (1940).
