Rafael Leonidas Trujillo Molina was dictator of the Dominican Republic (HRC 1). He was born on October 24, 1891 in San Cristobal. His parents were José Trujillo Valdez and Julia Molina Chevalier. He was on the power since 1930 until his assassination in 1961. (Diaz 1). Also he was knowing as “El Jefe” or “The Goat.” Trujillo with his power as a dictator was connecting to the United States and it helped him to be a better dictator due to his influences and making better the country. Due to his power, some civils died on the attempt. He created terror on their people; it means that nobody could fight against to his power because if they do that, they could not only suffer, but also die. Also Trujillo as a president, changed the name of the capital from Santo Domingo to Ciudad Trujillo.

It happened during the abduction of Beli, Trujillo’s sister appears and told her that his sister is the Gangster’s wife. He said “there are two very large and capable officers are going to take you to a doctor, and after he’s cleaned out that toto podrido of yours there won’t be any left baby to talk about” (Diaz 141). It looks that he did not want that nobody knows about her relation with his brother in law and a lot less that the people know that he cheated on his sister. Also it could be observed that Trujillo did not want that nobody will damage his reputation. Trujillo was a Dictator and the President of Dominican Republic. After Hurricane Zeon hit Santo Domingo, he as a “good” governor “he was able to claim that he had protected his people from a natural disaster by rebuilding the city” (Trujillo, Rafael). Also he had a lot of power in his country thus he changed the name of his capital city from “Santo Domingo to Ciudad Trujillo” (Trujillo, Rafael). As a conclusion of his regimen he did not allow that nobody mess his name.
