What makes a super villain evil? In stories or movies, you simply just know because there is always this one bad guy that is on the opposite side of the main character, but what characteristic does a super villain obtain that appeal to the viewers as the evil person. First of all, the villain, or the antagonist of the story, always have some type of conflict with the hero, or the protagonist. Second, most villains are cold heart-ed and will do anything to achieve their goals. Lastly, villains tends to deceive the hero and leads them to a wrong path. Raiden the Moon King from the movie "Kubo and the Two strings" is in fact a great example of an evil villain. Raiden abused this. He sneaked into Kubo's dream, in Kubo's dream, Raiden told Kubo in this one place he will be able to find a helmet that is unbreakable, which is also an important component if Kubo wants to defeat Raiden. Kubo fell for the trap, in that place, Raiden actually killed both of Kubo's parents, one being Raiden's own daughter. Later in the story, Raiden tries to deceive Kubo again, fortunately, Kubo has grown out of his old shell, and did not fall for Raiden's trickery again. Due to Kubo's growth, both physically and emotionally, he successfully defeated Raiden, and was reunited with his parent in the end.

In summary, Raiden has a conflict with the protagonist, he has a cold heart, he has tried to deceive the protagonist multiple times during the course of the story, given all these points, I think we can conclude Raiden is a good villain. He is not actually "good", in contrast, he is actually very evil. But he posses most if not all the traits that make a villain appeal evil to the viewers.
