“Eleanor and Park” was written by Rainbow Rowell. This book is a romantic fictional novel based on the lives of two teenagers. Eleanor is overweight and dislikes her physical appearance due to constant bullying. Eleanor is a red head and doesn’t dress very fashionable due to the lack of money available in her family. Eleanor’s father left her mother with her siblings at a very young age. Eleanor’s step father is a very hateful man who drinks, does drugs, and abuses the mother and the kids. Eleanor just moved to a new high school, where she meet Park on the bus. Park is an outsider, he’s popular because he dated Tina, Eleanor’s main bully, but he’s not popular enough to fit in with the crowd.
