Hello everyone, According to the World Health Organization (2016), “mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual realizes his or her abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to make a contribution to his or her community” (para. 2). It comprises the cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and relational functioning of an individual (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). The research and practices that focus on improving the mental health for all people worldwide with emphasis on equity and access is referred to as global mental health (Patel & Prince, 2010).
