Raphael was an Italian artist who was invited to many places, including the Vatican to provide artwork for many important people. He lived in Italy from April 6, 1483-1520. Even though it took the artist Raphael a long time to create his masterpieces, he was a leader in art because he was known for ten famous works of art, and people look to his art for inspiration.
