Ray Bradbury's Respect For Their Most Famous Prophets

Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc., all have major respect for their most famous prophets. They were given the ability by their religious deity(s) to teach their will and teachings. Whether it be Abraham who prophesied that counting his descendents would be like counting the stars before he was the father of a child at the age of 85 years old, or the prophet Muhammed who prophesied that his daughter would both outlive and be the first to die after him. Both came true. More modern prophets include Mahatma Gandhi who prophesied world peace, or Martin Luther King who boycotted for minorities across The United States of America in the 1960’s. However, a man by the name of Ray Bradbury who is not viewed in the same realm as these historical figures also made an important frightening prophecy that is looking to become more and more realistic every day. Humans who have the inability to show remorse are some of the most feared people in all of society. They don’t have feelings for others. Bradbury predicts that our advances in technology is turning the human race remorseless towards animals and even other humans. On August 6th, 1945, The United States of America dropped two atomic bombs on the Empire of Japan in the cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Around 220,000 innocent civilians were murdered in the first 3 days and a few thousand more in the next 3 months. The remorselessness showed by the U.S was also shown in the short story written by Bradbury when the city was changed forever because it was bombed by an advanced nuclear bomb. Although the short story never exactly says the city was bombed it is inferred. It has become pretty apparent through history and literature that many believe technology is endangering the entire
