Friar Laurence and Mercutio are to blame because when Mercutio was killed, Romeo avenged him. Once Romeo killed Mercutio’s killer, Tybalt, he was banned by Prince Escalus. Friar Laurence is also to blame for many reasons, one of those reasons being that he married the two thinking that it would end the feud and not their lives. One of the other reasons is that he married Romeo and Juliet too quickly, and did not think of the outcome besides ending the feud. Mercutio is to blame not for only getting Romeo banned but also for Romeo meeting Juliet.
Romeo and Juliet is a play about star-crossed lovers. Romeo is apart of a high class Montague family; their rival is the Capulet family. Romeo falls in love with the daughter of Lord Capulet. They want to get married but they know that this will not be approved between their family feud. This is why they secretly ask Friar Laurence to marry them in secret.
As humans, we all play a game, especially as small children. This game is the blame game, in the story The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet there are multiple characters you could potentially blame for the death of all the characters that died. I blame Juliet, she is one person from the story I wish would have just made some better decisions and the outcome could have been so much different for every character that died. There are multiple examples of why things could have been totally different if Juliet had just been not such an idiot. She makes a series of bad decisions that force all the characters in the story to wallow in depression about all of the unfortunate events.
Many wonder who should truly be blamed for Romeo and Juliet's death. Could it have been the fact that both of their parents refused to let them see each other which cause this or could it have been Friar Lawrence's or the Nurse's fault for persuading and assisting what they knew would end with trouble. Many describe their deaths as an inevitable event that just couldn't be avoided but couldn't it have? Looking back and reading, it is believed that the Friar had the most influence on both Romeo and Juliet causing their deaths. It was even him who suggested that Juliet wait for Romeo in the tomb, which leads to Romeo killing himself since he supposedly believes that Juliet is dead.

This story has an intricate plot line; the two lovers prevail from rivaling families, after falling in love they marry and intend to run away to live together. The friar was the one that devised the plan to fake Juliet’s death, but ran away in cowardice when he was afraid.

Juliet feels as if she has no other choice other than to fake her death and plan to run away with Romeo. Then, Capulet can also stop the feud between the two families, but he leaves it, and that puts a lot of pressure on Romeo and Juliet because of their families fights.
Love resembles a fire, difficult to start, easy to set off, throughout Romeo and Juliet's journey, Friar Laurence is the water, setting off their love with the worst decisions he could possibly make. In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, occurs many different scenes portraying the story of two star-crossed lovers, hence the name, to their lamentable death. But throughout this whole play, Friar Laurence was easily the magnet for the most chaos between their love, making very unintelligent decisions that lead to their death. Although Friar Laurence seems very helpful, he easily proves to cause the most disorder causing the inevitable death of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Laurence admits countless times he couldn't help Romeo with his love affair, but the main problem was improper plan making, which lacks a large extent of time and thought.
At the end of the play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo drank poison which killed him and Juliet woke up to see Romeo dead next to her, after words she killed herself with a dagger. So who is to blame for the death of romeo and Juliet? I think Friar Laurence is to blame. This is because he gave Juliet the sleeping potion. He also failed to tell romeo about his plan.
