The Civil War also known as “ The War Between the States” was one of the many wars that changed the United States for the greater good. The war went on for about four years.There were tremendous amount of soldiers and people dead or either wounded. The war occurred due to the different opinions of slavery resulting in the separation of the north and south states, farming, and failing compromises. The differences between the North and South is one of the many attributes to the uprising of the Civil War. In the North there were very few slaves but on the other hand the South had many slaves. The South had a big farming economy and work needed to be done on those plantations, it led to slavery. The South was very dependent on slaves to do work on the plantations like picking cotton. Meanwhile, in the North the didn’t need to use slaves because they had moved away from the farming business.
