Ladies and gentlemen I am pleased to present the victors of the seventy fourth hunger games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.”This quote helps to show that Katniss and Peeta did this hoping that the capitol would stop them before it’s too late. This quote also helps show that the capitol had given in to them and didn’t let them die. This situation is one of the biggest examples of standing up against the capital in the novel.
