I chose to interview someone that I have looked up to and has been an inspiring role model for deciding to pursue a career in nursing. I have known Phyllis Czarnecki, for six years now, however, I was never familiar with the details of her career as a registered nurse. This interview gave me more respect for Mrs. Czarnecki by giving me a better understanding of the path she has taken to be where she is now. I have always known the general idea of a nurse's responsibilities, however, this interview allowed me to learn the personal opinions and a specific job of a registered nurse. Phyllis realized, as a teenager, she wanted to become a nurse when her mom was hospitalized and undergoing surgery.

I have cared for over 300 critically ill, ventilator-dependent patients. Problem-solving and critical thinking have been essential in overcoming challenges and making critical decisions. Moving forward, I will focus on refining caseload management, prioritizing open communication, and advocating for additional resources and growth opportunities for the nursing team. Guided Reflection #1 The overall experience of this patient experience has been quite memorable so far. In terms of contributions contributing to our patient’s quality of life, our contributions have been more practical in nature.
Reflecting on the past seven weeks I have acquired countless knowledge, which I will use to further strengthen my profession as an Advanced Practice Nurse. The course allowed me to think beyond my current practice knowledge and acquired innovative ways to evaluate the situation at hand. The learning objective in program outcome four helps set standards that I will use to guide my clinical practice to meet various healthcare needs. Using the case studies has helped to further enhance my knowledge on disease physiological state, using differential diagnosis, disease manifestations, and clinical presentation. It has also taught me the skills on how to differentiate between similar diagnoses to properly identify the problem and treat the patients.

What is reflection? Reflection is described as the process individuals use for self-development in their future career. The process of reflection has been used for many years in professional health fields such as midwifery and nursing (Lillyman. S & Merrix. P, 2012). Florence nightingale pioneered the practice known as reflection-on-practice, this is a tool that is needed in developing improvement and knowledge to enable an individual to grow in their nursing profession.
Upon arriving to the unit this morning, I quickly realized today was going to be a chaotic day with the current patient census, and all of the new admissions. I was able to assist the night charge nurse with today’s assignments, while she helped with the code, and the day began. I informed my team that today was going to be a long day, and encouraged them to use each other and myself for help. Introduction This essay is a reflective piece of writing about the critical indecent of a medication error that occurred during my placement. What do I know about being a critical care nurse? I know that being a Critical Care Nurse is a social job and it involves helping or providing service to others. This job provides advanced nursing care for patients in critical care units, commonly known as the ICU. There are many different activities that happen while being a critical care nurse, for example checking a patient's pain level, monitoring a patient for changes on their current status, and being an advocate for the patient's family. I also know that being a Critical Care Nurse can be a very emotional job with some of the patients that come in.
One of us quickly put on the blood pressure cuff, applied the SPO2 probe and connect the ECG lead to check on her vital sign. I also immediately do the physical checking to check for any bruises or cut. Another staff nurse went to inform the doctor in-charge regarding the incident, where I stayed near Madam Y to comfort and reassured her. I was relief knowing that all the vital sign was normal and she didn’t get any post trauma cut.
