During my career teaching I have had extensive experience developing art curricula and implementing new courses at various levels.
In Scotland I was tasked with designing, developing, demonstrating and implementing a curriculum for primary schools. This included delivering the necessary in-service to primary coleagues to equip them to teach appropriate art lessons to their pupils. The course was designed to help Primary Teachers to teach the six basic art elements to all stages from P1- P6 while developing age appropriate materials, resource packs and lesson plans for teachers.

Development Of Teaching Aids
During my extensive experience I have consistently striven to develop and improve teaching aids and teaching resources. This is a critical element in my own reflective practice and continual professional development. I have designed visual boards (A1) for the basic elements of art to give visual examples and illustrations to assist in teaching these important principals and to show clear examples. In each department that I have worked in I have always assisted in the collection and acquisition of both primary and secondary visual resources for teaching art.
I have also developed teaching aids by using technology in the classroom to assist in the teaching of art and design. I use and iPad which I have loaded with various tools including colour wheels and various apps designed to teach the characteristics and implications of Colour theory.
I have also used apps and visual resources for teaching the anatomy of the figure for representation in 2D and 3D on the ipad. I have also used software such as Comic Life, iMovie, Keynote etc to create interesting and visually stimulating resources for
