This semester I also learned how to word rules with right way more and how to be specific with procedures. I made a mock classroom policy about a year ago and after that lesson I made modifications to it. When it comes to this semester, things for me are going well. So far in the course, I have been able to get all my homework and reading entirely on time and not rushing things at the last minute. This week nine discussion I thought gave us a chance to showcase what well learned on the aspects of resume building and higher education career development for individuals. A lot of the information of have learned from week nine will assist in my research into the final project for this course. Learning about the news about career counseling in setting in scenes like elementary, high school to higher education’s makes us focus on the individual and what they want their future to look like.
This course hasn’t influenced my career plans, but it has enhanced how I manage my projects and interact with colleagues on a daily basis. Furthermore, this class and all of my future classes will really be useful as I retire and become a self-employed government contractor. Reading about companies like Lincoln Electric, and how well they manage their employees and business inspires me to incorporate many of those techniques into my own company vision and mission. I’m using more critical thinking in my day-to-day activities and decision making. Critical thinking forces me to slow down and make better decisions.
Obtaining this degree would not only assist with fulfilling credentialing requirements; but will also enhance my knowledge and skills so that I may continue to provide optimal quality and care services necessary to treat diverse
The profession of Speech Language Pathology enables others to be heard and gives them the ability to have a voice. As a Communication Disorders major, I found my voice through education and personal experiences. During my undergraduate career, I have balanced extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and leadership roles while maintaining superior grades in my coursework. However, my qualities go far beyond my list of accomplishments. Passion, my value of education, and my objective to improve the lives of others have driven me to pursue a career in Speech Language Pathology.
One of the many motives I love the field of speech-language pathology, is the immense selection of professional opportunities available, from our schools and clinics to medical institutions. I love the idea of being challenged by new, real world experiences in speech-language pathology, and it is important to me that I continue to give back to my community. In putting together my portfolio, I could definitely see that I have made an incredible progress from the foundation of this class. My practice of grammar, words and the general structure of my papers has improved massively. Reflecting on my strengths and weaknesses as a writer, as well as things I have learned in my own writing process is a big accomplishment.
My misfortune in math later helped me realize that I needed to change my outlook on school. Instead of dismissing a subject just because I was not good at it, I would rather try and identify what I was doing wrong, and work to fix it. Taking the the ACT engage test helped me realize what my academic strengths and weaknesses are, and how I can use this knowledge to capitalize these strengths so I can be more successful in college than I was in highschool.
I have taken away many useful strategies and information from the College 101 class I took this summer. This course has given me enough information to help me feel confident that I will be successful in the rest of my highschool experience and my future college experience. This course has given me skills that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Learning to study properly, avoid procrastination, and take notes correctly has been something that has already helped me tremendously. It has helped me feel less stressed on a day-to-day basis as well as improving my school work quality.
During the course of this semester, I feel that I have grown substantially as a writer. I think that I could improve even more with practice as well as using a few resources. This class has helped me drastically by improving my writing structure but I think it could have been even better if I had spent my time more efficiently. Overall this class has been very beneficial to me and I think it will really help me in the future. When I started this class I took a completely different approach to writing a paper.
Not only was I proud of what I learned in those classes, but I was recognized and rewarded for it as well. My goal could be achieved; my hard work could be rewarded. Taking this class has had a profound impact on me. I have learned how to properly study for a college class. Also, I learned how to effectively communicate and reach out to my professor. This was my first college course which gave me a learning experience about psychology and myself as a student. I have learned how to manage my time, study in ways that are better for me, focus on the task in front of me, and reaching out and taking opportunities.
In this part I will review myself, about what have I done and what can I do, so I can be closer to my vision. As I have mentioned in my current situations I have strength, weaknesses, opportunity and threats. My strategy is that I want to maintain my strength, overcome my weaknesses and threats and take advantage of the opportunity. My strengths are my calm and observant personality.
