Facebook Friendonomics by Scott Brown Scott Brown, a writing critique, in his essay “Facebook Friendonomics” implies that social media, such as Facebook, has changed the definition of friendships. He refers how friendships online are distant and lacks the value of a physical friendship. His purpose is to show how Facebook makes friendships expandable and weakens real-life connections. He uses diction to negative connotation to convince his audience that online friends lack the personal growth compare to proper friendship.
