On the California Career Zone website, I found out a few things about how I would potentially spend my money in the future. I also learned a few things about my skills and also my interests on multiple career fields. On this website, I got an idea about a few things I could be interested in possibly pursuing in the future.

One of the first things I discovered, was the amount of money I would spend annually; including housing, utilities, food, etc. The total amount of money I would spend per year would be $31,486, or $2,337 monthly which means I would have to make at least that much money annually.

Per month, I would spend around $1,147 on an apartment, I would spend $150 on utilities like electricity and gas, $150 on food, $100 on entertainment and $50 on clothes. I would also be spending monthly, $350 on transportation, $87 on health insurance, $91 on college/education, and I would save 10% (or $212 monthly) . …show more content…

One of these careers was being a software developer. A software developer “researches, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, etc.” ( CA Career Zone website) In 2013 the average salary in California for a software developer was $119,180 and the salaries range from $77,690 - $170,720.
