Writing a major essay is never an easy task. It takes a lot of hard work and input from other individuals in order to make the essay the best it can be. When it came to writing about the experience of my mother’s death I thought about excluding some of the details, but I thought my writing deserved to tell the whole truth not just part of it. I’ve talked about this experience before, but have never gone into complete detail. Consider yourself lucky because now is the time I have decided to really open up in my writing through this essay.
In class the examples were very helpful when it came to this writing process. I really appreciated being able to read “No More Legos” because it gave me the idea to not make my essay entirely serious. At times it is good to be serious in writing, but not all the time.
