For this last essay my writing process was similar to my writing process for essay 2 because I did an outline again which dealt with the three major points I was going to discuss, my thesis statement, the three passages I was going to analyze, and the last thing I outlined was the secondary sources I was going to use. I only wrote one draft for peer review and after that I just went through and corrected the things my partner pointed out. For example, for one of my passages he said that it needed to be analyzed a little more, so that’s what I did. Furthermore, after I finished those corrections and I finished writing the rest of the essay, I went through it again so that I can check my spelling and grammar. I feel like I focused way more on my spelling and grammar on this essay, than the others because this is a place in which I struggle a little. However, I also focused a lot on providing a good analysis of my passages and making sure that I added more to the analysis if some things that I said were too vague or unclear. The advice that I took from my peer was that I needed to write a more in depth analysis of my passages because I was not connecting the passage well with my argument. Moreover, the revisions that I decided to make on my own were grammatical and spelling ones. I decided to do this because I often do not revise these well and this causes me to not catch some of the mistakes I have made while typing. What I think that I did well on this essay was that I provided a good analysis of each of my passages and I connected them well with my argument about Irene’s struggle with race. What I struggled with the most was structuring the essay in a better way, that would allow to incorporate the secondary sources better. That way my essay would have a better flow to it. My goals for improving my writing for the future would be to play around more with different ways of structuring my essays because I always use the same structure and it is not always going to
