In this reflective article, I am going to have an evaluation of the goals I laid out in the front, and assess the effect of process-writing skill. Firstly, at the beginning of the course, I listed three goals such as the Writing structure, the academic style and the Vocabulary. Throughout the process, I had greatly improved in all of them, but the procedure is different from the way I assumed in week 2. Writing more is not the effective way to improve my writing skills while revising and rewriting an essay is an excellent way to improve all the skills that mentioned above. To show the progress more specific, for the writing structure, I learned to use opening paragraph, some argument, a counter argument and a conclusion to make my essay more persuasive. For the academic style, not only did I stop using the words “I” “We” but also emphasize the use of academic vocabulary as well. Moreover, inadequate transition of ideas is a great shortage of my writing structure which lead to my wrong elaboration and just explained some common knowledge without carrying forward my arguments. In the future, I will mainly focus on the vocabulary and enrich my article by different connections and the phrases. In addition, the practice of transition of ideas is needed to make my elaboration on the right track. Writing the whole article is not needed while doing the practice.
