Progression over the Semester After completing Honors English 126 in the Fall Semester of 2018, I thought I had learned all there was to know on how to become a good writer. However, after taking English 211, I soon discovered there is more to expand on and learn in the writing process. Throughout the course of this semester, I learned how to properly set up and write an annotated bibliography, how to organize my work better, and how to critically think about my paper topic. Coming into this course, I had some prior experience setting up an annotated bibliography. However, I had not done this style in a while and I forgot how to properly set it up to meet the specific format. Performing this work again not only helped me complete the task at hand, but it also helped me structure my essay better. At first, organizing was a skill I felt confident about coming into this course. Later did I realize that there was still a lot of learn about this strategy that would benefit my writing more. This course provided new strategies in how to structure an essay, which made the writing process easier. Having different options in how to construct my papers allowed me to be creative in how I could set my essays up. With these options, it helped lay out all the main topics and organize my work that would best support the flow of my paper. For example; for the Persuasive Essay, the opposition of the argument had to fit in a spot that would not disrupt the movement of the paper and placed where the argument would best make sense.
