Three leadership roles that I am most proud of being involved in include hosting the Special Olympics basketball program, being a part of the DRIVEN program, as well as assisting a cooking class taught for younger children from grades 3rd through 5th. This program is dedicated to getting involved in helping our community as well as our school. Some examples of our services include bell ringing in the cold winter months for donations to Love Inc., visiting nursing homes to set up holiday fun for our elderly, as well as setting up food donations in our school for families who are not able to make it through each meal. We also help our school in many ways. For example, we give up our last two weeks of summer vacation to come to school and set up activities and games for the new freshman coming in. We do as much as possible to help them adjust to their new surroundings and make new friends. In addition, we visit their homerooms every Tuesday for the first few months of school to teach them lessons through activities and guide them into the proper direction for success. Lastly, I was also able to help aid my Family and Consumer Sciences instructor with her cooking class that she holds for younger children. In this class, she teaches them the basic skills of how to hold and properly use kitchen equipment as well as how to use the technologies in the kitchen
