The behaviour of the Plastics influences other people's behaviour because characters such as Regina George have a strong impact on the rest of the school body because all the students want to be her or to be associated with her. Regina George has “minions” who follow her lead without thinking twice, which influences the other students to believe that her opinions and thoughts are inferior to theirs. Gretchen Wieners and Karen Smith are considered Regina’s closest friends and follow her around and always try to please Regina. Having a crowd of people who will follow you regardless of how you act gives a person like Regina George the confidence to act recklessly and maliciously. For example, Regina George made up a rumour about Janis when they were in middle school, which ended up affecting Janis a great deal. Therefore, Janis dropped out of school because no one would talk to her and when she came back for high school Janis was a totally different person. Janis had cut off all of her hair and acting weirder. Regina caused Janis to become hateful towards the plastics. The reason to seek revenge is to expose Regina for who she was really was. Janis stated in the movie that Regina ruined her life when Cady was telling her that Regina seemed sweet. Throughout the movie, Janis is the character that pushed Cady to take revenge on Regina. After Cady became a plastic and blew off Janis’s art show, Cady yelled “you're the one who made me like this so you can use me for your eighth-grade revenge”, which shows that the plastic influence made Janis use Cady as a spy for her. Not only did Janis push Cady to seek revenge she also came up with creative ways to get back at Regina such as giving a foot cream as a face wash, manipulating the candy grams, and revealing Regina cheating on Aaron Samuels to ruin Regina

Joining the club is considered by everyone as social suicide because it is a club that is based on math and academics, which isn't very popular among the other students.
