The book Of Mice And Men also known as OMAM starts off with 2 men George and Lennie being dropped off a Few miles South of Soledad California, Soledad actually translates to loneliness. George was a short fellow but also was a smart man. He took care of his cousin Lennie because Lennie had autism. Lennie was a tall,strong and really hard working fella but he could kill small animals with his bare hands. The two went to a ranch looking for work since Lennie had got in trouble in a town called Weed. The relationship between George and Lennie is like a big brother little brother situation where George protects and takes care of lennie. The boss was mad at George and Lennie for coming late. So when Geroge and Lennie go to the room, Lennie finds bug spray and he thinks that his room has bugs. We find out that Lennie's last name is Smalls and George's last name is Militon. The atmosphere in the ranch and bunkhouse is kinda tense in my opinion. Curley lets his wife flirt with another man and when curley finds out he is just ready to fight, causing a normal day to end in a brawl. Curley's wife is a dirty tramp and a manipulator. She tricks men with their looks to fall for her then gets beat down by curley. The stable buck that gets beat on by the boss for the rest of his life now. He is a punching bag but I feel like one day he will run away. Lennie wants to interact with everyone but can’t because George doesn't want what happened in weed to happen where they are at now. So that is why when George said”Hide till I come for you. Don’t let nobody see you. Hide in the bush by the river.” he meant if Lennie got into any trouble go to that bush by the
