“Of Mice and Men” is a short novel written by John Steinbeck about the migrant worker experience in the 1930s. In this novella there are two comrades; George and Lennie who have known each other from a very young age. George is a sharp witted and small man, who has a very short temper. Lennie on the other hand is large, bumbling man who has a soft heart and is mentally handicapped. They are travelling throughout the Salinas River Valley in California together, encountering different challenges and facing them. They used to work on a ranch in a town called Weed together, but they have now fled to a different ranch because of a mistake Lennie made in Weed.
