Relationships between mother's and daughters can be a beautiful feeling because it is a bond that only they could feel, which is important because you need to have that connection to teach them how to become women. Another thing that connects them as will as separates them is their characteristics and decisions they make. In the stories “I Stand Here Ironing” ,“Everyday Use” and “A Raisin in the Sun”, they all share one thing in common and that is how relationships can help you even through the hardest times. All three stories occurred in a time where black families did not have a lot of opportunities and had to work to survive. In the last story “ A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry has to do with this african family that have little to work with but will soon have an opportunity to have a better life. The relationship between Mama and Beneatha are basic but mama seems to be more connected to her step-daughter ruth. What all three stories have is that they all went through a hard time and that each daughter had their characteristics that made them take the role of being a women.
