Also, since she came into the world fighting because she was born too early, she wants to go out of the world fighting. This scene shows how strong Maggie is. It shows how determined a person can be. She met her goal which was to box professionally with Frankie as her trainer. She worked and worked so hard to reach her goal and didn’t stop until she was literally dying. This shows how much Scrap actually cared about Frankie and his well being. It showed that even though him and Frankie didn't get along all the time, they still cared very much for each other. Scrap knows about the letters to Frankie’s daughter, and since Frankie disappeared after the passing of Maggie Scrap wanted to fill in Frankie’s daughter about her father and what kind of person he is. Also, even though Frankie couldn’t be the father that he should’ve been to her, he still cared for her and he was still capable of being a father to another daughter even though he should’ve been that for her. Frankie didn't have a good relationship with his daughter at all, and at first he didn't care about Maggie either.
