Experiences shape relationships in many ways, whether someone died or went away etc. In the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller, John and Liz two married couples back in the late 1600s. Liz was accused with witchcraft and john had done adultery, these experiences have shaped their relationship in a way that brought them together. The Crucible, settings is in Salem, Massachusetts, the main characters in this story is john Proctor, Liz Proctor, Abby Williams, a big group of girls who have claimed to been used for witch craft.

John Proctor, and Abby Williams have had an affair with each other. John Proctor is a married man to Liz proctor this affair really put a dent in there relationship. There relationship was great before this all happened, before they went in the woods and danced. After that Abigail Williams had told them that she would kill any who told on what happened that night, Abigail had turn all her friends in to monster along side with her. She had made marry warren “Johns worker” against John as she said that John comes to her at night and everyday to sign, he wants her name that ill murder you if his wife hangs, we must go overthrow the court, she had thrown John under the bus because of Abigail, because of her experiences with Abigail, Marry had thrown her relationship with John under the bus.

Conclusion: I think that because of this whole Witch craft conspiracy had made a lot of new relationships and brought out peoples true colours, it strengthened John and Liz relationship and weaken John and Abby’s relationship, as with the girls I think it showed them how Abigail really was, and how it made them fall apart. I agree that experiences do shape relationships as it shows peoples true colours, and how they deal with
