In this tape called Remade, the speaker, Mark Hart, discusses “being made new in Christ”, and how to change yourself in the best way possible. He talks mainly about his past, and his problems that he was able to overcome through love of God. He gave a lot of helpful advice that I will discuss later. He really inspired me, and probably many others who have listened to him, too. One spiritual insight that stood out to me that Hart said was: “The fact that you desire a happiness that this world cannot give you is proof that there is something more.” Hart explains that nothing in this world will satisfy us because we are designed for Heaven. Our entire existence is just a test to gain eternal happiness in Heaven. This taught me that it doesn’t matter what stupid mistakes we make in life, because as long as we confess and are sorry for them, we will be okay. God gave us life as a gift, and our lives would be perfect if it weren’t for the fall of man. We as humans are never fully happy, because this secular world is not capable of completely satisfying our needs. But I thought this topic was so strong and inspirationally true. This world can often thwart us from being happy, because we can never be sufficiently happy here. But that doesn’t mean can’t try. It is impossible for us people, especially women, to be 100% happy, but we can still rely on God’s love to make us happy. As long as we remember that he truly loves us, we will feel happier even in the midst of this secular world. Then, if we continue to stay close to Him, we will gain eternal happiness
