Kennedy, in his speech, “Remarks at the Dedication of the Aerospace Medical Health Center,” Kennedy believes that the U.S. should be the leading country in space exploration and that the exploration has benefits for people on earth. Not only should readers agree with Kennedy because of the new understanding, but also because space exploitation is revolutionary. Another reason to support Kennedy's claim is that space exploration is advancing and revolutionary to the world. AS additional text states, “Medical space research may revolutionize the technology and techniques of modern medicine,” (Kennedy 184). This evidence shows that space research is able to help and may be revolutionary to medicine. This matters because with new technology we can improve and advance modern medicine, creating a great change for society. How the opposition might say that space exploitation is a waste of money or it costs too much, this is not true because according to Joan Vernikos, she states in her essay, “Is Space Exploration Worth the Cost'', “Economic, scientific, and technological returns of space exploration have far exceeded the investment”.
