Rembrandt was a famous painter, draftsman, and etcher, and is usually said to be as the greatest artist of the Netherland's "Golden Age." He studied under the painter Pieter Lastman.
To achieve his style, he strove to study by live sketching people, objects, and their surroundings to capture the lighting, space, atmosphere, modeling, and texture.
