Renaissance Art
The Renaissance brought along many famous artists that have inspired many people around the world. The list includes, but is not limited to: Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, and many more.
The Renaissance Before learning about these artists, the Renaissance is a good place to start. The Renaissance was the rebirth of learning in the Old World. This period had many advancements including: gunpowder, paper, and more (history-world.org) (Bollinger).
Michelangelo

In his adulthood and late teenage years, he created many paintings and many sculptures. These include, but are limited to: The Transfiguration, Disputation of the Most Holy Sacrament, The School of Athens, and many more.
Leonardo da Vinci Leonardo da Vinci is the most famous out of all these artists with the Mona Lisa. Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452. He had many hobbies including: painting, inventing, sculpting, and many more. He made many paintings that are still widely known. The Mona Lisa is arguably the most famous painting in the world. The unknown lady has had speculation of being da Vinci’s mother or even royalty. Biography.com said, “For da Vinci, the "Mona Lisa" was forever a work in progress. . .” The Last Supper is one of the other da Vinci famous paintings. For da Vinci, it was a three year process to paint this masterpiece on the back wall of the Duke of Milan’s dining room. He added a wide range of facial expressions to the apostles’ faces to add more character. Leonardo da Vinci used many techniques when he painted. Chiaroscuro is one of these many methods. It is an art technique that adds a third dimension to a painting through shading. Sfumato is the technique that has a soft edging instead of a strict border. His real name was Donato di Niccolo di Betto Bardi. He was born around 1386. In his younger years, he was acknowledged by friends and family as Donatello. Donatello’s earlier years was full of many jobs. His first job was as a goldsmith, where he first had an interest in manipulating the shape of metal. Later, he worked in the studio of Lorenzo Ghiberti, who was his mentor. He later went on to become an independent sculptor. A man named Brunelleschi became one of Donatello’s best friends. These two went to Rome to study the arts. They became known as treasure seekers among the common folk of Rome. They worked in many goldsmiths just to support themselves. Donatello started to make sculptures after Brunelleschi and he parted ways. His first payment for his work in 1406 for an unknown artwork. He went on to sculpt the statue of David in 1408.
