Every four years The United States of America holds an election to choose the next president to represent our nation. The best fit candidates campaign and debate against each other, working to turn the heads of citizens and win the most votes. For the twenty-sixteen election, Donald J. Trump is running as the Republican Candidate and Hillary Rodham Clinton is running as the Democratic Candidate. Both are focusing on key issues such as abortion, education, and gun control to draw votes from American citizens. Their views on the issues vary from each other greatly, making the choice of who would be the best fit for President more difficult for some people. There are many different key issues that have been discussed throughout the debates and campaigning, such as abortion, gun control, and educational matters. The Republican nominee, Donald J. Trump, is a pro-life candidate with plans to make education a top priority and keep guns in the hands of responsible citizens without overbearing gun control laws that invade constitutional rights. Under Trump, millions of innocent lives would be saved by the outlawing of abortion, except in cases of rape or incest, and the defunding of the Planned Parenthood until it no longer performs abortions. He plans to focus on keeping America’s educational standards at a local, state level and lowering college tuition without eliminating it completely in order to keep an economic balance. His gun control plans will ensure that mentally ill citizens and felons are not allowed access to firearms and will make protection easier, even in schools, by making a concealed carry permit valid anywhere in the United States. Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democratic nominee, is a pro-choice candidate with plans to make abortion easily accessible for everyone, keep educational standards at a government level, and make gun control laws that will alter a citizen's constitutional rights. Under Clinton, mothers will have the option to abort their baby at any time during their pregnancy, even up to nine months if they choose. She plans to keep Common Core Standards in place and to not alter the educational system in any way. Hillary plans to make more gun control laws that will make purchasing and owning a firearm harder on everyone, not just felons and mentally ill. Donald J.
