Egypt
Egypt is a very interesting country. They have an awesome that thrives and has remained so for many years. Excellent, economy, they have lots of different ways to make money and keep up with the tourists. They have a religion that is very misunderstood yet with good reason. Egypt even has a really good government and history. Yes, we all know about the pyramids and mummies, but have you ever tried to look further?
History
As you may know Egypt has a very diverse and interesting history. You usually don’t hear about Egypt without a mention of the pyramids, gods and goddesses, or strangely enough, the sacred cats. First let’s talk about the ancient beliefs, and gods and goddesses. There are so many shrines and things to show gods, goddesses, and even pharaohs. They are often depicted as part human, part animal, sounds familiar? Hint, hint the Great Sphinx. Now then pyramids, the first pyramid was built in 2630 B.C., that’s a long time ago! It had six levels in total. They, of course, also have the more familiar triangular ones as well. Now something that may have caught your eye was sacred cats, yes they worshiped cats! It is the Islamic religion, most automatically think terrorist right off the bat. Yet this religion is widely misunderstood. On the contrary when done right, it can be rather humble. They have certain times of prayer. Whenever these times come around they kneel and pray wherever they are. They believe in Allah which is the Arabic name for God. They must pray to Allah five times a day. “Five times a day, a crier, or muezzin, climbs a minaret and calls people to prayer.” (Egypt the culture). The religion is a strict humble one, if you’re not misunderstanding
