Most famous people come from a family that has wealth and fame already, and rise to fame after around 20 years of their life. Without the previous fame, the climb to the top is much harder. People stop looking at things that are familiar, and may not give random artists a chance. Billie broke all of these precedents when she rose to fame in a normal background with no fame and an average amount of wealth. Billie is a normal kid, she likes horseback riding, dancing, and singing. Her brother, Finneas O’Connell, was also into music and had written a song called “Ocean Eyes” and asked his sister to sing it with him and his band. This is what made Billie known and kick started her career. Billie rose to fame after just being a kid that loved music and came into the spotlight very early in her life (13 years old). Additionally, she shows others that they can have a career in music no matter what family they come from or how old they are, and encourages people to work toward their dreams.
