I decided to watch Christmas Oranges at my friend’s house with her husband and my brother. While watching the movie, there were more feedback between us. The movie was about that a young mother left her baby daughter at the foot step of an orphan. The owner of the orphan was named Mrs. Harper. She loved all her kids of the orphan including the baby girl that she decided to name Rose. Years later, Mrs. Harper past away and the children needed to be sent away. All the children got adopted by different families except Rose. Rose was sent to a different orphan that was run by a grumpy, rude old man. The man would put the children to clean the entire house and every single day. However, the grumpy old man had a brother that was the opposite of him. …show more content…
On Christmas day, the Christmas tree was decorated with popcorn and oranges. Rose had never seen an orange. At the moment that Rose was receiving her orange the old man didn’t allow Rose to receive it. He ordered her to do her chores. Rose was upset and ran away, so the old man’s brother ran after her. The brother found her and took her to his house. At the brother’s house, Rose discovered that the old man had a daughter that he been looking for. Rose found a letter that was from the daughter of the old man to her father. Rose decided to give the old man the letter. The old man realized that his daughter been looking for him too. After reading the letter, the old man changed his attitude and decided to reunite himself with his daughter. The orphan was left to the old man’s brother to run. I liked this movie, it definitely showed the meaning of being humble. This movie made me cried because it was hard to see all the difficulties that Rose lived through. However, I didn’t like the ending. I felt that the movie was too short that left many questions in my mind. It really didn’t explained who the mother of Rose
