The Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. In 1777, George Washington’s army arrived in Valley Forge. The Revolutionary War ended in 1783 because of the Treaty of Paris.“The 1st two years of the American Revolution hadn’t gone well for the Continental Army.” (Roden 141) “Victory at Trenton and success at Princeton.” ( Roden 141). Around this time, most of George Washington’s army started to leave and never come back. More soldiers leave and we are going to fail and not win the war. The soldiers must stay because we will win the war and have peace to be safe. On the other hand, some people say “Nine-month men were going home and not returning.”(Roden 141). The point of view makes sense because they were tired of losing and getting sick from diseases.However, re-enlisting is a better idea because we get to fight for our country.
