Ernest Hemingway is the Nobel Prize winner. Ernest Hemingway is one of the most renowned writers of the American literature. Ernest Hemingway has been called the twentieth century's most influential writer. He achieved widespread success from A Farewell to Arms in 1929. He was born in Oak Park, Illinois, in the summer of 1899. He doesn’t have good connections with his parents so he left home at the early age. He joined the Italian Red Cross and served as an ambulance driver in Italy during World War I in 1918, in which the Italians allied with the British, French, and Americans against Germany and Austria-Hungary. He had two experiences at that time and he was very affected from them which later inspire him to write one of his most celebrated novels, A Farewell to Arms. Hemingway spent several years as a reporter, during which time he honed the clear, concise, and emotionally evocative writing style that generations of authors after him would imitate. It is often said that “A Farewell to Arms” is Hemingway’s best novel. It discusses about the World War 1 and the circumstances which the characters feels during the war.
