Glen Race lived a decent life all the way until entering adulthood. Starting his second year in university, his mental health was clearly plummeting. After a trip Race took to Taipei, reports suggested that drug consumption was evident and active in Race’s life. It is common knowledge that drug consumption can trigger mental illness such as schizophrenia in certain individuals. After many violent confrontations with his parents, and the numerous amounts of strange behaviour Race was exhibiting, he was finally diagnosed with “schizophrenia disorganized type”, about two years before the murders ever took place. After this, Glen was admitted to hospitals twice more on accounts of strange behaviour, and was let go because he showed signs of improvement. The amount of times Glen Race was submitted into hospitals because of his strange behaviour indicates that he is clearly suffering from a mental disease, and lives in an alternate reality than all the mentally healthy humans.
