This was the first bombing in history. This painting reveals what is happening to the Spanish people and the culture. All of this chaos and destruction is all caused by one man, General Franco. The content Picasso is attempting to spread is the crimes of war. Guernica is a mural canvas painted in oil. A dominant style you can see is Classicism. This painting has the simplicity because it just uses things like color and objects to represent the message.
