Who really is the murder of Hae Min Lee? Two high school teenagers who go to Woodland High School are suspects of Hae Min Lee’s murder. Hae was murdered by manual strangulation, but there was not enough evidence to prove Adnan guilty. Adnan’s friend Jay admitted to helping Adnan bury the body. An investigative reporter named Sarah Koenig made a podcast in 2014 about Lee’s murder. Sarah collects evidence of Adnan’s case to see if he is truly guilty or not. The podcast has become particularly popular given the circumstances of the case. Hae liked/loved Adnan. She would write about him in her diary. Hae’s friend named Becky said that “She saw Adnan to be a good boyfriend/person (Koenig “The Breakup”), but other people say that they saw Adnan as controlling. Sarah says that “Adnan did not get a ride from Hae (Koenig “The Breakup”) the day of the murder. Adnan’s friend named Jay said that “Him and Adnan never went to Leaking Park (Koenig “The Breakup”). Adnan explains that “It takes a lot time to clear out the high school (Koenig “Inconsistencies”), there for being impossible for him to kill Hae at 2:36 pm. Detectives found a map book in the back seat of Hae’s car. A page was torn out of it, and on the book were sixteen fingerprints. None of the fingerprints on the book matched Adnan. Sarah started telling people/friends about Adnan’s case. Most of them thought it was shaddy and that it didn’t provide enough evidence.
