Tommy Lynn Sells’ Portfolio Serial killers have been around since the beginning of time and their tactics have evolved greatly throughout each decade. Most serial killers’ motive for killing people is to seek the feeling of power over other people. These people are all around the world, but the United States has the highest number of serial killers (Moskovska). One of them was Tommy Lynn Sells. Sells had a lot of childhood trauma that most likely caused him to start killing people. Tommy Lynn Sells was a serial killer that received the death penalty for the murder of Katy Harris and many others.
Tommy Lynn Sells Origins Tommy Lynn Sells was born on June 28, 1964, in Oakland, California. The family then moved to St. Louis, Missouri. He had a twin sister named Tammy Jean, but she passed away at eighteen months when both she and Tommy got spinal meningitis. Nina Sells, his mother had three other children. Later, Sells went to go live with his aunt in Holcomb, Missouri until he was five years old. His aunt was interested in adopting Sells, but his mother wanted him back once she heard that his aunt wanted to adopt him. Sells was by himself most of the time when he was a child.
