However, it all started in 1585 when Robert White married Bridget Allgar and had a daughter named Mary White. Robert White was a rich man who was friendly to non-conformists at the time which was rather odd considering the time period; nonetheless, their daughter was baptized in 1590. Then several years later in 1614, three years before her father’s death, Mary White married Joseph Loomis a successful cloth merchant in Braintree, England.

Because people have good and bad qualities, they also have the ability to act on either quality depending on the situation. Seemingly good people can be “seduced” (Zimbardo, 2007, p.211) into acting against their nature. Under the right situational stress, people can act cruelly even if their personality is not
People are often presented with making a choice of good or bad. These opportunities can define an individual's life. Someone does not turn evil with the flip of a switch. There is always a process whether it is noticed or not. The reason a person does something in the nature of evil is commonly hard for others to understand.
There are even those who can be both at the same time, they are good to their loved ones and evil towards their enemies. There are many different cases and it will never really come down to one explanation. People that are good can change due to events that happen in their lives. They are fighting with themselves on whether they want to do good or evil but in the end chose evil, “If Fernandez 2 someone’s evil, it can’t be blamed on inborn capacities. We all have a heart of conscience, a heart of reverence and a heart of right and wrong” (Mencius 80).
Every person is innately evil in some way. People may seem perfectly sane on the outside but on the inside they could be one of the most evil people. Whether it be a child, teen or adult everyone at any age can be innately evil. The idea of people being innately evil shows throughout many short stories such as The Lottery, The Most Dangerous Game and Tell-Tale Heart. In the three short stories the theme of evil is relevant in each.
