A hero is someone who puts others before themselves. Heroic acts can range from small gestures to saving countless lives. Almost anyone can be a hero. Heroes are known for their outstanding achievements and bravery. Chesley Sullenberger is a hero because he is brave, selfless, and saved the lives of many people.
