Martin Luther King Jr. Essay “Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.” (Martin Luther King Jr., I have a Dream Speech). Martin Luther King Jr. was an African-American Baptist minister and civil rights activist who actively fought for racial equality. Dr. King advocated for non-violence activism in the late 1950s to 60s and helped accomplish the voting rights Act in 1965.
