Mother Teresa A Giver Role model ,giver , saint, are three things that describe Mother Teresa. Many people know that Mother Teresa was a giver, but she was so much more. As a well known giver, Mother Teresa showed the world to be giving, loving, and kind. Her lasting legacy was her positive change in the world. At the time of her fame many people were put out of poverty, and cured of diseases this was her legacy. The Beginning of Mother Teresa’s life was fairly normal with the exception the her father passed away sadly, but her mother was there to raise her. When she was eighteen she moved to the Sisters of Loretto. Unaware to the fact that she would never see her family after moving. At the Irish convent she took her vows as a nun. It was one of her very first steps to becoming the famed saint she is today. Just six weeks after joining the Irish Convent she sailed to India to become a teacher. She worked in St. Mary’s High School for seventeen years and became the principal eventually. Only two years after living in India she received the title Mother Teresa. She chose the name Teresa to honor Saint Teresa of Ávila, and Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. While living in India she experienced her “call within a call”. It was in India that she reached her height potential and it is there that she made her legacy.
