In the memoir, Night by Elie Wiesel it demonstrates how horrific it was back then in the Holocaust and the Jewish people didn’t know if they would live to see the next day. During the Holocaust, the Jewish people were treated very inhumanely.
The times in the Holocaust were very discriminating toward the Jewish people because they had no self worth and their presence did not matter to the Nazi’s. The Jews had to work countless hours and they hardly ever got a break. Even if the Jewish people did not get a break, it did not mean that they would get any portion of food. For example, on page 20 (Weisel, lines 4-7) “The Hungarian police made us get in-eighty people in each car. We were left a few loaves of bread and some buckets of water.” As information has shown the Jewish people were not wanted by the Nazi’s.

The Jewish people had no rights, and their life consisted of being controlled by the Nazi’s. Page 64, (Weisel lines 8-11) “Why, but should I bless him? In every fiber I rebelled. Because he had thousands of children burned in his pits? Because he kept six crematories working night and day, on Sunday’s and feast days?” This explains that Elie did not know why so many Jewish people were being treated inadequately because he thought that God was supposed to be everyone’s savior and he did not think that God would let innocent people die so
