When I visualize a famous piece of artwork I picture something that tells a worthy story, versatile use of color, and an great point of view. Salvador Dali is known as one of the greatest painters of his time. He has had multiple paintings sell for millions of dollars. The painting that sold for the most was his Portrait de Paul Eluard, it sold for $22.4 million dollars (Drughi). Dali is known for his style of impressionism and Surrealism.
At around the age of 27, young adult van Gogh decided to dedicate himself completely to art. Early Years When Vincent first started drawing he sketched pictures using pencils or charcoal sticks. He also in fact used watercolors. Van Gogh really enjoyed drawing pictures of poor hardworking people.
The French artist, Claude Monet, was born on November 14, 1840 in Paris, France. His parents were Claude-Adolphe and Louise-Justine Aubree Monet and he was their second son. His dad had hoped that Claude Monet would help work in their family grocery store business, but Monet had much bigger plans for himself; he dreamed to become an artist. At the age of eleven, Monet had began going to Le Havre secondary school. By the age of fifteen he had already become well known as a local caricaturist.
If I could pick any person from history to have a conversation with I’d pick Vincent Van Gogh. I’d like to have a conversation with Vincent Van Gogh because throughout my life I have found is art and his story very interesting. One of the most interesting pieces of his story is that due to his low social class, there is a large amount of missing or inaccurate information, I’d love to have a conversation with him so I could be told a completely reliable version of the events. Vincent Van Gogh was a then unacknowledged innovator of the post impressionism art movement and this is one of my favorite art movements.

He began playing the guitar and writing songs when he was eight years old. Drawing was his passion and being that he was so gifted with the drawing gene it came natural to him.

Pablo Picasso, a Spanish artist, was born in Malaga, Spain, in 1881. He had made many influential paintings, sculptures, and other objects through his life. His artworks transcended Realism, Abstraction, Primitive, Cubism, Surrealism, and Expressionism. Pablo Picasso is the most known for his introduction of Cubism which has impacted the development of modern art. He differentiated from other artists that his artworks were expressing his personal feeling and the outside world.
The effects Picasso created in his artworks especially the famous “La Demoiselles d’Avignon” (Figure B) is very similar to that of my own drawings. Picasso’s use of basic shapes played a big part in my drawing component as well , as it was these basic shapes that inspired me to place the different parts of Tom and Jerry, that I had selected into. Not only did I take his use of changing viewpoints but I also took his use of basic shapes and incorporated them and changed them to suit me and my idea for this component. For my artwork component his influence was more mental than out on the artworks as the simplicity of his works told me that simple is ok and that I don’t have to think up some very complicated artwork to : one get good marks and two to produce works that are meaningful not just to me but potentially to viewers.
The typical technique of this artisit is called Applied oil painting which uttilised Brushs with pallete knife . His technique was inspired by primitive simple art that . "When I was as old as these children, I could draw like Raphael, but it took me a lifetime to learn to draw like them." Picasso was using this primitive art method essentially created a mask in his own image, like the African masks. A key feature is the over simplifcation of figure and lack of clarity.
Picasso traveled to Italy, which affected his imagination and provoked him to create some of his art pieces. He started painting in the style of classicism. Later in life, Picasso also made ceramics. He survived the Second World War, too, and continued to make art works for the rest of his life. Picasso worked in collaboration with Georges Braque.
