Queen Latifah, an amazing African American woman who has accomplished many things over the years. She has recorded and acted. She has many talents to show us. She has many things to teach us too. She has been through things but she didn’t let them come between her and her dreams. She is an inspiration to others in this world and she is still doing things to keep getting further in life. Dana Elaine Owens Aka “Queen Latifah” was born on March 18, 1970. She was born in Newark, New Jersey. She has a mother, a father and she had an older brother. Her mother’s name is Rita Owens, her father’s name is Lancelot Owens, and her brother’s name was Lancelot Hassan Owens Jr. In the 1978 Dana and her family faced a bump in their life. Her mother and father got divorced. The same year Dana, Rita and Lance Jr had to move into a housing project in a tough neighborhood.
